How to resize the band....       Product Reviews
by: rudy_williams       on: 28-May 2006

Everything others have said is true and it is really BIG. To resize the band take a tack, place it against the smooth end of the pin (other end has a line where the two sides meet), tap the tack and the pin will move out the other side. It is best to place the band over something with a slot to enable the pin going out the other side.
Great watch! Perfect time, easy to read, and looks good!       Product Reviews

I love this watch. Never need to set it. It just keeps perfect time and adjusts itself for leap year and daylight savings time. It's the perfect "no maintenance" watch and looks great to boot.

One nice design feature is that the metal surrounding the crystal extends out just a little past the crystal, so it protects the crystal from getting scratched if it grazes a wall.

Only semi-gripe is that it takes some doing to add or remove links on the band. The instructions don't cover it, either. It either takes a special (~$15) tool or a steady hand, hammer, and skiiiinnnnyyy nail to bang out the pins.

Great watch at a great price.
Excellent for what it is (but not perfect)...       Product Reviews

If you are looking for a watch that can be worn both casually and yet also be worn with business attire, keeps precise time, and never needs a battery...this is probably the best item on the market. It's an attractive watch, though one should note that the face is somewhat larger than the average men's watch (which I happen to like). The atomic clock synchonization works as advertised, so it's always accurate. And it appears to remain charged with a moderate amount of light.

However, there are a few things that could have been done better. For one, the digital display could have been made slightly larger. Second, the overall feel of the watch is rather light. Some people consider this a positive, but when I compare it with my Seiko Dive Watch (about a $200 model), it definitely comes up short. It just doesn't have the heavy, solid feel of a more expensive dive watch or chronometer (this may just be a personal preference of mine). Finally, I would have liked to see Casio make this watch in a diver's model that is 200M waterproof. This watch is listed as "water resistant" to "10 BAR" which theoretically means 100 meters, but frankly from the light feel of the watch, I find that hard to believe. I don't think I would swim with this watch, let alone dive with it!

Overall, for the price and features, I believe this watch rates 4 stars.
I love this watch       Product Reviews
by: a031197       on: 05-May 2006

I am very pleased with this watch. I've been looking for a new watch for some time, and have been waiting to find an "atomic" watch whose look I liked.

The radio-controlled time setting is the key feature for me. I live in Denver, so I've had no problems receiving the signal each night. This watch is always to-the-second accurate (and maybe I'm little obsessive about punctuality, so I LOVE that).

I put the watch in direct sunlight for a morning when I first got it, and the battery meter has read high ever since (about a week).

The watch does everything I need and more. It's got alarms, a stopwatch, and dual time zones. I haven't found this watch too difficult to use. I downloaded the instruction manual from Casio's web site, and it's pretty clear.

I really like the look and the readability of the watchface (and my wife likes it too). I am a skinny guy: 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 145 pounds with skinny wrists. I got a local jeweler to remove enough links so that the watch would fit. I don't think it's too big, but whether this watch is too big or not is very subjective and personal.

I found a watch I love for less than half the price I thought I would have to pay. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
