Product Description:

Make a powerful statement with the Casio WVA430TDA-1A3V Waveceptor titanium men's digital/analog atomic watch, which receives time calibration radio signals which keep the displayed time accurate. It's also solar-powered--charging in either sunlight or indoor light--so you'll never have to deal with changing the battery. It features a digital display (resting at 6 o'clock) with day and date options and world time options for 29 time zones and 30 cities.

The bezel and band are made from titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel but 30 percent stronger. It has a shiny gray hue that frames a shimmery blue dial background, which is accented by triangular luminous dial markers. The titanium link bracelet flows seamlessly into the watch case. Other features include luminous hands (with second hand), three alarms, AfterGlow LED backlight, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).

Still the best       Product Reviews

There is no other manufacturer offering solar/atomic/titanium.
I have a few Citizens, Seikos , they look nicer maybe. But I set the time for all of them according to this Casio.
I agree with the thickness and band issues, but it is still the best watch at this price.
Big watch       Product Reviews

I agree with most of what the other reviewers said. If you are not very handy with small tools though, assume you'll have to take it to a jewler to fit it to your wrist (standard size of the band is too large). I did it myself and had to figure out how, because it is not very intuitive (if I have time, I may post the instructions on my website: http://www.geocities.com/dshadv/) The other instructions I found on the web, didn't apply to this watch.
My only complain is that it is a bit too big; it is thick, but that I expected (with the radio receiver/solar cell...I guess it had to) but it is also big diameter-wise, not ackwardly so, but I'm 5'9" on a good day, medium size guy and I wouldn't have mind something a bit smaller. Still not too bad, I'm happy with it and everything works fine.

Titanium is a soft metal...       Product Reviews
by: nevai       on: 09-Jan 2006

Yes, pure titanium is a soft metal. This watch is probably made of either pure titanium or equivalent. Mine scratched too but I expected it.

The watch itself? Great. I have 3 Casio Waveceptors, but this is far better than the others.

NOTE. Don't expect syncronization in regular buildings such as hotels or office buildings. But it works in my house.
Great watch - only one nagging problem.......       Product Reviews

If you're looking for a lightweight, analog/digital, atomically calibrated, and solar powered watch - look no further. In fact, Casio is the only manufacturer to offer these features (plus alarms) in a very affordable package. Like a previous reviewer, however, I also find the durability of the band lacking. After a few days of normal indoor use, I had noticable and permanent rub marks/scratches that quite frankly have me perplexed. I, too, thought that Titanium was a harder and stronger metal than stainless steel. I am currently attempting to get some answers from Casio concerning this issue, but have not yet received anything that resembles a viable explanation. Overall, I would still recommend this watch as a purchase, watch band durability notwithstanding.
