This watch is really light and does all the things that it's supposed to do. I like not having to worry about it's accuracy. The solar battery is really nifty as well. The one minor problem I had with the watch was the band. Casio puts the largest one on the watch and unless you have a wrist like Hulk Hogan, the band will need to have links removed. I had no problem taking out the links myself. Instead of paying $10 or more to have a jewler do the job just take a thumbtack and push out the pins yourself. Make sure to push out in the direction of the little arrows on the back of the band. Put the pin back in right and you have adjusted the band. Best Watch I've Ever Had by: Anonymous on: 24-May 2006 I'm not real picky about watches and I hesitated about spending even $100 for one. Now I'm glad I did. Solid construction, auto-time calibration is convienient, alarm works great and display is easy to read. Have not had any problems keeping it charged even though I work indoors all day. I don't have one complaint about it. Great watch! Great watch by: Anonymous on: 25-Apr 2006 First of all I want to make a comment on how I read a review as to how thick this watch is. It is some what thick, but I don't think it is intended to be a slim watch. I own other watches that are thicker and I am not a large individual with big arms. I am 5'8" and of average build. My G-shock watch is thicker then this watch. I am very pleased with the looks of the watch and I have got many compliments at work from individuals that are into watches. The lights on the watch don't look as though they will light the watch up at night that well, but I was surprised as to how much it lite it up when it was dark. I do agree that it doesn't light up the digital read out, but it does a decent job overall. The instructions and setup of the watch aren't the easiest that I have had. I still don't know if I will ever attempt to use the stopwatch or make any other adjustments to the watch. I have it setup to not have to touch again. I really enjoy the looks of the watch and would recommend the watch to anyone that is looking for a expensive watch for cheap. Best you can buy! by: jt_dog1 on: 22-Apr 2006 I recently bought this watch from amazon for $99.95. The battery was at the lowest level when I recieved it. Although as soon as I put it close to the window it turned on. It takes about 2 days of sitting in the window before the battery is fully charged. But, after it's fully charged the battery last for about 6 months IN THE DARK. The picture above looks somewhat like the watch however, the metal around the face is alot more polished then it shows. Also the numbers in the face are alot more pronounced then it shows. The face is slightly purple but you have to look at it a certain way to notice. The blacklight on the face only lights up the face. It does not light up the LCD. It has a MINERAL-CRYSTAL glass on it. This is no ordinary glass. At my work all of the doors are solid metal including the door frames, they are both painted. Me being my nothinking self dragged the face of the watch against the metal door frame. When I looked at the door frame it had a scratch about the size of the watch, but this glass is so hard that it didn't even have a SINGLE SCRATCH. This watch has FIVE ALARMS, three of them are just one time alarms, one is an alarm that counts down until it goes off, and the last one has a snooze function. The bottom dial is only used for telling 24-hour time. The middle dial is used to tell how much power it has, and it is also the minute dial if you are in the timer mode. The top dial is only used in the timer mode, it is used for telling the milliseconds. In the timer mode the second hand is used for showing the seconds also. The timer mode doesn't just use the analog features either, it also shows the time in the LCD, it uses sycronizing technology to keep the hands and the LCD showing the same time. It has a setting mode so that you can adjust any of the dials except for the 24-hour dial so that they are aligned with the printing around them. In most watches that you can buy, me being a perfectionist, the second hand is always a little bit off of the lines around it. But with this watch it is always exactly on those lines. This watch controls the all of the hands with tiny motors that are very exact. That is how it changes when DST comes around, and when you are in timer mode. It has hourly beep, ajustable backlight time, auto backlight (this is where if you turn the face towards you in the dark it automatically turns on the backlight.) solar power, it's atomic time, automated analog time, and all the other standard features that you find in other digital watches. This watch will basically last forever! I would highly recommend this watch for anyone. (makes a great gift for people with everything) If your looking for a watch that is functional, accurate, appealing, and heavy duty THIS IS THE WATCH FOR YOU!
